Lead Pastor

Mark Sullivan grew up in the suburbs of Chicago.  Yes, he is a die-hard Bears fan!  Although he was only miles from one of the largest evangelical churches in the United States, he did not have a relationship with Jesus Christ until he was a high school senior.  After coming into relationship with Christ, he felt the call on his life to let others know the life transforming power of having a personal relationship with Jesus.

He attended Elgin Community College in Elgin, Illinois where he received his Associate of Arts degree and transferred to North Central University where in he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies.

He served as Youth Pastor at Crossroads Church in Prior Lake from 1993 to 1999.  He served at New Life Christian Center in Princeton from 2000 to 2004 on a volunteer basis in preaching ministry, Sunday School, Junior Bible Quiz, and Adult and Children’s Drama ministry.

Mark and Diane felt called to plant the church in Waconia, Minnesota in 2003.  They moved in August 2004 to Waconia and Promise Community Church launched services on November 18, 2005.

Mark is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God.
